Tentacle Ratings
A rough measure of how "Lovecraftian" the work is:
- S____ (One Tentacle: Debateably Lovecraftian; has almost no direct connection to Lovecraft's work)
Not very "Lovecraftian", this is the story about a mentally disturbed boy with creepy imaginary friends and a pit full of weird monsters in his back yard, which he feeds people to. The monsters might be compared to Ghouls or some such. The whole film runs on "nightmare logic" - it doesn't really make any sense, and is arguably better (and perhaps more "Lovecraftian" to some viewers) for it.
Note: This rating is not intended as a measure of quality, merely of how closely related to Lovecraftian "Weird" fiction the work is.
