Synopsis

Bloomfield is home to a small cult, the Order of Merlin, whose leader has been summoning Yog-Sothoth and treating with the deity to learn the secrets of Mythos Magic and to obtain powerful artifacts. The lights are the visible signs of Yog-Sothoth manifesting.

Keeper Comments
- This is another scenario with a weak hook, either the players read the newspaper story describing the strange event and realize that it is important. Or (Assuming one of the PCs is a reporter or similar.) they are assigned to cover the story by their editor. Keepers are advised to come up with their own hooks.
- Keepers may wish to rename the towns College and Asylum.
- The author has characters anachronistically refer to 'flying saucers' (The term was not coined until 1947), Keepers may wish to research period appropriate terms for 'lights in the sky' before running this scenario.
- Keepers will need to be prepared to make their own maps of key locations as there is only a map of the Order of Merlin's Lodge and the surrounding area provided.
