Mnomquah
Mnomquah ("Lord of the Black Lake") originates in Brian Lumley's "The Sorcerer's Book (fiction)".
In the Mythos
The Great Old One Mnomquah is a great reptilian monster with a crown of writhing feelers and empty sockets in where eyes would be on an earthly creature. Mnomquah is trapped inside the Black Lake of Ubboth, a great lake which is under the Lunar Dreamland, though how it became trapped there is unknown. Mnomquah is said to be the mate of the disgusting Oorn, and when the Great Old Ones awaken to lay waste to our world, Mnomquah will be reunited with his repulsive bride.
Cult
The cult of Mnomquah is largely centered in the Lunar Dreamland, and the priests of Mnomquah, usually Moonbeasts, wear strange serpent-like headgear and carry long, slender wands. They may also be accompanied by their quasi-human servants and Human Cultists.
