In the Mythos

Khai of Khem was the eldest son of the chief architect of they pyramids in the First Dynasty of Ancient Khem (approximately 7000 BCE) under the brutal reign of pharaoh Khasathut. Khai, initially believing the Pharaoh to be a god, is appalled to see with his own eyes that Khasathut isactually a withered, weak, and evil mortal man who delights in abusing his power to enslave his subjects, deflower virgins, and seek immortality. Daring to raise his hand to the cruel sorcer3r-pharaoh, Khai is condemned to a life of slavery, which Khai flees to neighboring Kush, where he quickly rises through the ranks of the armies of Khem to general, and is seduced by and falls in love with the beautiful Ashtarta, Queen of Kush, joining her in the defenseof Kush against his former home nation, Khem. Khai is betrayed by his best friend, falling victim to the sorcerer-pharaoh's curse, which sends Khai's ka (spirit) careening thousands of years into the future, where he is reincarnated into the 20th Century. Setting himself to studying Atomic Age technology and seeking a way to undo Khasathut's curse and stop his reign of terror, Khai was able to return to his past life with the knowledge he has gained, just in time to rescue Ashtarta and confront the sorcerer-pharaoh on the cusp of achieving his evil dream of eternal life as the undying tyrant of Khem and Kush, which the sorcerer-pharaoh would cast into slavery and ruin....
