Synopsis

 Spoiler Section (Highlight to Read)

Our story takes place in England in 1812, only one year into the Regency era. A young lady of good societal standing is introduced at a ball to three potential suitors: a navy captain, a clergyman, and an aristocrat, all with dark secrets that lead to even darker consequences.

Loom and Lucidity (Mythos-free) A dashing but mysterious naval captain has taken Brighton by storm this Season. Where did they come from and what is the source of their fortune? And why did Lord Cosgrove drop dead as soon as he spoke against the gallant Captain? Intrigued by such an enigmatic person, the investigator accepts an invitation to a soirée in London with the highest of high society in attendance. There she will be pitted against the Air Loom Gang and their mind-manipulating machine (the titular Air Loom).

Curate and Curability (Mythos-light) The investigator is introduced to a young clergyman who is a widower, mourning the loss of his wife. In fact the supposedly deceased wife is very much alive, if a little ghoulified due to a familial curse. Having found a way to release his wife from this fate, the good reverend has invited the investigator to join the family, as it were...

Note and Notoriety (Mythos-heavy) The investigator is invited to the ball of the season hosted by renowned aristocrat Sir Jasper d’Ulfrey. The lavish parties of Sir Jasper are known to all, and the guests are the envy of the ton. Little do they know that Sir Jasper has grown weary of his hedonistic existence. With the help of some of the more dubious books in his library he means to make this, his final grand ball, a night to remember as he transports the attendees to the greatest party of them all - the court of Azathoth!
