G'harne (AKA "The Mystery City of G'harne") appears to have been a creation of of Brian Lumley in his novel The Burrowers Beneath (fiction) (1974).

Description, Geography, History, Landmarks

The lost city of G'harne, believed to be located somewhere in North Africa, is discussed in the greatest detail along with its location in the G'harne Fragments. Originally one of the cities of the Elder Things, it is now described as a place of underground burrows inhabited by crawling Chthonians led by a monstrous creature named Shudde-M'ell. The connection between the Elder Things and the Chthonians isn't clear, but the Chthonians are implied in the G'harne Fragments to have been slaves or prisoners of the Elder Things.

The Cthonians were imprisoned here until they were freed in the human era by meddling shamans and natural disasters; it is said that the he cult of Nophru-Ka fled to this city after the high priest's death, and G'harne would in the 20th Century become the objective of Sir Wendy-Smith's last expedition, which left the noted archaeologist mentally unstable.
