Summary
A costume adventure, wherein a band of travelers unwittingly shelter in a lonely chateau. None will ever forget this place-if any should happen to survive!
A Hammer Horror-style adventure, "sometime in the 19th century, when the Age of Reason still bashes at the gates of superstition in the ancient Duchy of Karlenstein." Hurrying to arrive in Karlensburg before snow falls, the travellers' coach is beset by wolves and forced to take shelter in the castle of reclusive Count Karlenstein.

The scenario notes that PC gender is specifically important and should be considered carefully. This is partly because of the Count's true nature:

By default, the characters have no common goal or background, and are expected to act independently. Additional characters are provided as backup; the Keeper will need to incorporate and manage these characters during the earlier stages, or have players run two or more characters.
Sexuality (and specifically, sexual intercourse) is a key theme of this scenario. Keepers running it for conventions etc. may want to exclude children.
