The Underdark is the TSR/Wizards of the Coast Dungeons and Dragons "Hollow Earth" style setting, inspired by the gamut of pulp Hollow Earth fiction through the ages. A more public domain version of the setting is called the "Darklands", as used by the Pathfinder (RPG).
