Summary
An omnibus collection of the most noteworthy of Lovecraft's output, including his "solo" fiction, a number of his poems, and nearly all of the collaborations - with the notable exception of a few lost items, and a few collaborations that have been blocked by copyright conflict, notably those by C.M. Eddy, jr., and a couple by Robert Bloch. The Second Edition is presented in three volumes, intended to begin with Lovecraft's best fiction from his "Prime Years", followed by his "Early Years", and finished by "The Collaborations".
The Prime Years: This volume covers H.P. Lovecraft's "apprentice years" roughly the first half of his literary career, the half written before his return to Providence in 1926. Every story written for publication under his own name is included in this volume, from 1917 through 1925. Front cover adopted from Howard V. Brown's illustration for At the Mountains of Madness for the front cover of the February 1936 issue of Astounding Stories magazine. Back cover adopted from Howard V. Brown's illustration for The Shadow out of Time for the front cover of the June 1936 issue of Astounding Stories. Dust jacket design by Fiona Mac Daibheid and Natalie L. Conaway.
The Early Years: This volume contains the stories that nearly everyone agrees are the best work of H.P. Lovecraft's life. Chronologically, it is the second book in a three-volume omnibus set comprising the complete fictional works of Howard Phillips Lovecraft. Dust jacket: Front cover adopted from Harold S. DeLay's cover illustration for the October 1939 issue of Weird Tales magazine. Back cover adopted from Virgil Finlay's illustration for The Shunned House, in the October 1937 issue of Weird Tales. Dust jacket design by Fiona Mac Daibheid and Natalie L. Conaway.
The Collaborations: This volume, the final part of the three-book Pulp-Lit Omnibus Collection of all the fiction writing of Howard Phillips Lovecraft, presents the works of weird fiction which he ghostwrote or on which he collaborated with another author.

Comments / Trivia
- This omnibus collection can be considered "complete", with the exception of some fragments, a few lost items, the Essay "Notes on Writing Weird Fiction", the Derleth "posthumous collaborations", and a few collaborations that have been blocked by copyright conflict, notably those by C.M. Eddy, jr., and a couple by Robert Bloch.
- The collection notes that the collaborations are missing: "Ashes", "The Ghost Eater", "The Loved Dead", and "Deaf, Dumb and Blind" with C.M. Eddy, jr. due to copyright conflict; "The Madness of Lucian Grey" and "The Merman" with Robert Bloch (unpublished and presumed lost); "Satan's Servants" with Robert Bloch due to copyright conflict.
