This is a fairly nasty little movie in almost every way, and in no way kid-friendly, and it's unlikely that even fans of so-called "torture porn" films will find this one to be a "feel good" movie.

A rough measure of how "Lovecraftian" the work is:

There's nothing really here in this thoroughly repugnant film that I could pin down as precisely "Lovecraftian", but the completely unexplained, weird, silent, immortal girl discovered walled up in an abandoned insane asylum for absolutely no rational reason gave me the surreal, nightmarish creeps in a way that I rarely get struck with, except for some of Lovecraft's nastier little irrational, unearthed Gothic secrets, and I'm willing to give it at least a "tentacle" for the resulting mood.

Synopsis
