Synopsis

The young woman who hires the investigators is unaware that her reclusive uncle is actually a deranged cultist, and has a horrific fate in store for the girl in the tentacles of his experiment. Shortly after arriving in Bensamin, the investigators are kidnapped by degenerate hillibilly cultists and chained securely in a basement, left with only one way out: to pursue their captor into the Dreamlands.

Keeper Comments

Comments to Keepers about this scenario; Possibly how to run it successfully. Keep general DISCUSSION on the talk page.

Setting: 1920s Vermont, but could be reset to other eras and locations fairly easily.

Special Notes: The scenario's subtitle suggests that the Dreamlands will prove to be a place of "danger and horror", but since the investigators spend most of their time in pleasant Celephais, there's little justification for that description (the events occuring in the Waking World are where all the horror happens).

Sequel Plot Hooks: The scenario includes a section of "Loose Ends" at the end which suggest sequel adventures.
