Bolton is a fictional town created by H.P. Lovecraft in his story Herbert West - Reanimator. Bolton is a milling town situated in the Miskatonic River Valley near Arkham. Bolton houses the Bolton Worsted Mill, the largest mill in the valley. The mill is notable for its rough workers who famously get into many illicit fights. Bolton is also notable for being the home of Herbert West between 1904 and the beginning of the Great War. There have been at least two murders in Bolton, if not many more. In March of 1904 during a fight against Kid O'Brian, Buck Robinson "The Harlem Smoke" was killed. In 1910 a visiting business man went missing.
