I've not seen this, but it aired at the H.P. Lovecraft Film Festival, and some reviewers have compared it vaguely to the work of Arthur Machen and H.P. Lovecraft, presumably on the strength of Gothic buried secrets, and a transgressive and "blasphemous" magical intrusion upon a seemingly mundane world.
