Aboard a Boeing tri-motor, Ellen Church becomes the very first airline stewardess (the flight was from Oakland, California to Chicago, Illinois).
The Besson MB.36 French monoplane flying-boat designed by Marcel Besson, took it's maiden passenger flight. Only one was ever built.
