Synopsis

The culmination of a long and elaborate plan of Nyarlathotep to open a gateway between dimensions has brought several disparate elements together in Arkham. A horrible spawn of the Outer God haunts the streets commiting a spree of strange murders, each performed by literally aging an innocent victim to death. Although not obvious, each of the victims has a connection to an asteroid fragment recently recovered by the MU Physics Department, energy from which forms an important part of Nyarlathotep's scheme.

Campaigns / Scenarios: This scenario forms the final chapter in The Arkham Evil (campaign) of three loosely-coupled scenarios. Its first two chapters appear unrelated but each sets up one element (the birth of Nyarlathotep's Spawn, the discovery of the asteroid fragment) crucial to the final confrontation that occurs in this scenario.

Comments

Includes a brief pre-Herber characterisation of the MU Physics Department and the Arkham Police Force.
