Tentacle Ratings
A rough measure of how "Lovecraftian" the work is:
- S____ (One Tentacle: Debateably Lovecraftian; has almost no direct connection to Lovecraft's work)
I don't recall very much about this movie being "Lovecraftian", beyond perhaps the bizarre nature of the alien organism and the hints at the disturbing side-effects of the teleporter technology.
Note: This rating is not intended as a measure of quality, merely of how closely related to Lovecraftian "Weird" fiction the work is.

Synopsis (SPOILERS)
Spoiler Section (Highlight to Read)
An elite 'search and rescue' team transport onto an off-world mining-facility using unstable teleportation technology to rescue the lone survivor of a biological outbreak on a distant outpost in a time singularity where a day passes in only a few minutes of Earth time, only to find that the nightmarish biological outbreak is actually part of a frozen planet-sized intelligent organism the mining facility is digging into; the organism is methodically evolving at the expense of humans it infects through survival-of-the-fittest techniques employed by pitting survivors against each other, until convinced that mercy and humanity are an even more highly evolved goal than mere survival.
