The new Great Old One Pack One adds five new Great Old Ones to your game! All five are available to ALL factions - but it's first-come, first-served. If you awaken Mother Hydra first, then no one else has access to her ... unless they can kill her, and then re-awaken her for themselves. Each Great Old One has its own special ability PLUS its own special ability PLUS its own unique spellbook, which is earned separately from your own. Both the ability and the spellbook are highly useful. These beings are not just new adjuncts to you factions - each Great Old One opens up new strategic possibilities, and bumps up your game in a vigorous way. Meet Abhoth, Chaugnar Faugn, Cthugha, Mother Hydra, and Yig.

ABHOTH is the slimy Source of Uncleanness, who spawns monsters known as Filth across the board. These Filth by themselves boost your faction's ability to survive but when he earns his Brood spellbook, Abhoth's Filth become able to cancel out enemy Gates during the Doom phase!

CHAUGNAR FAUGN, the Horror from the Hills, starts right out by giving you terrific defensive abilities - your gates themselves beome able to fight off opponents. He also has the Curse of Chaugnar Faugn spellbook which allows his controller to turn Elder Signs face-up, and choose who gets which Sign when earned!

CTHUGHA the fire god is terrifying in combat, but then twists the combat to your advantage, using it to earn additional Power and, later (when you obtain its spellbook) even Elder Signs, for a fast-path to victory.

MOTHER HYDRA gives you the ability to sting your enemy out of the Sea, reserving them for your own use. Her Zygote spellbook permits you to spawn multiple cultists at once, at a low cost.

YIG, Father of Serpents, is pure venom. First, he makes your cultists poisonous - when they are eaten by enemies, the enemies are poisoned and die! Second, when he earns his spellbook, he forces your foes into a grim choice every turn whether they want to donate Power to you, or let you have Doom points, instead. Whatever they chose, you win.

This is an expansion for Cthulhu Wars. It requires a copy of the core game to play. This expansion was a part of the original Cthulhu Wars Kickstarter campaign.
