The Cthaati Kardath is the title of a fictional volume which first appeared in The Horror on Haldon Hill's scenario by Rick Lippiett

Description

The Cthaati Kardath was originally written in Sanskrit but no known copies in that language have survived up untill the present day. The few remaining volumes of the Kardath are written in Hindustanti.(the accuracy of the translations may vary)

Contents

The book talks at length about an obscure avatar of Nyarlathotep known as the Small Crawler; its worship and the rituals pertaining to it. As well as the rites for summoning the Crawler, the book allso contains incantations for bodily rejuvenation, conjuring vails of darkness, weakening enemies and summoning demons. Many of these rituals require a blood sacrifice.

Location

Allthough most of the surviving copies of this book remain in India, a handful of volumes may have made it back to Britain during the campaigns. The British Museum and the University of Oxford may posses copies.
