Ratings

MPAA Ratings

  • Rated: R (Violence, graphic Nudity, Adult Content)

Tentacle Ratings

Vampire as depicted in Lifeforce (1985 film)

A rough measure of how "Lovecraftian" the work is:

  • S____ (One Tentacle: Debateably Lovecraftian; has almost no direct connection to Lovecraft's work)

Not explicitly or implicitly based on any Lovecraft material, but the lifeforce-drinking alien vampires aren't far off from Lovecraft's brand of Weird, and, aside from the nudity, the film does have a kind of "Quatermass" vibe to it, with British government space and government agencies delving into ancient folklore to defeat a menace from space.

Note: This rating is not intended as a measure of quality, merely of how closely related to Lovecraftian "Weird" fiction the work is.
