"Five-Tentacle Media" - media that has been roughly rated 5/5 "tentacles" on a scale of how "Lovecraftian" it is.
These are generally scrupulously accurate films, generally made by Lovecraft fans, for Lovecraft fans, and are the result of a great deal of careful research and painstaking efforts to create an immersive experience. Most of these films are produced to look like convincing "period" films made during the 1920s or 1930s: silent, black-and-white films made using film-making techniques common during Lovecraft's lifetime.
The number of tentacles is not an indication of quality - these are not necessarily good films - but these are likely to be the most accurate Lovecraft film adaptations to be found.
