- Y.Whateley: My favorite adaptation of this Lovecraft story; as usual, the original story has gained a romantic subplot in the adaptation, but, unusually for this modification, the result perhaps works in the story's favor, adding a touch of humanity to this relatively "un-Lovecraftian" tale in a way that feels perfectly natural, while enhancing the horror of the outcome.
