Bal-Sagoth are an extreme metal band from England. Their lyrics tell stories strongly inspired by writers such as Robert E. Howard and H.P. Lovecraft. Some of their stories take place in the Cthulhu Mythos.
The band is named after the city of Bal-Sagoth which appears in the short story "The Gods of Bal-Sagoth" by Robert E. Howard.
