The Great Old One Othuum is from Brian Lumley's "Rising with Surtsey".

In the Mythos

A black, glistening... heap of twisting, ropy tentacles and gaping mouths... the outlines of a slimy, alien face.
Brian Lumley, "Rising with Surtsey"

Othuum is an oceanic Great Old One in the form of a large ball of twisting, ropy tentacles and gaping alien mouths set in an eyeless, slimy, alien face. Othuum acts as Cthulhu's "right-hand man", enforcing Cthulhu's will on Earth when Othuum and its minions rise up on the ocean floor within range of human victims.

Cult

The Cult of Othuum consists mainly of its minions, along with small groups of human agents, Deep Ones, and other aquatic Mythos monsters, and Othuum's cult may serve Othuum alongside other oceanic Great Old Ones.
