The Spawn of Hastur appear to be from Lin Carter's ""Dreams from R'lyeh, XXI", elaborated on in the Malleus Monstrorum.
Description
The spawn of Hastur are octopoidal with unspeakably hideous, skull-like faces, and are aquatic, or at least amphibious, as they are only ever mentioned as appearing with the Unspeakable One in the foul and murky lake of Hali. The spawn do have limited flight capabilities and may make short excursions over land. Like their sire, these beings may be summoned to Earth only when Aldebaran is above the horizon.
