The conditions of the fishermen’s shacks at Boynton Beach, a small settlement south of Innsmouth, Massachusetts, is far from idyllic, as documented by Margaret [Olmstead] an employee of the Federal Writers Program in this photograph dated 1937. Miss Olmstead was reported missing in August of 1938; her current whereabouts are unknown.
