The missing individual had become mixed up in occult circles (The Investigators can have a brief encounter with the young Aleister Crowley.) and while trying to find the resting place of Merlin, instead resurrected an ancient worshiper of Shub-Niggurath. Now the two are engaged in a series of sacrifices that will, if the investigators fail to stop them climax in summoning the Old One into the heart of London.
