The Minions of Othuum (AKA "Servants of Othuum") are from Brian Lumley's "Rising with Surtsey (fiction)".
Description
A black, glistening... heap of twisting, ropey tentacles and gaping mouths... the outlines of a slimy, alien face.
— Brian Lumley, "Rising with Surtsey (fiction)"
A race of aliens about 10 feet (3 meters) tall, in the form of a ball of twisting, ropy tentacles and gaping alien mouths set in an eyeless, slimy, alien face. The creatures look like smaller versions of their master, the Great Old One Othuum, and dwell on the ocean floor, rising from time to time in tectonic upheavals that raise mysterious sunken islands on which they dwell, allowing the Minions to employ a mind-transfer with human victims, allowing them to further the plans of Othuum.
