Magazine originally published at irregular intervals by Pagan Publishing from 1990 to 2001. In the initial run there were 14 issues (including 3 "double" issues; 8/9, 14/15, and 16/17). The magazine was officially cancelled following the double issue in 2001.
More recently, The Unspeakable Oath has been resurrected by Arc Dream Publishing (under license from Pagan Publishing) with the first of this new series of magazines being issued in December 2010. The new run continues the original numbering.
