Ratings

MPAA Ratings

  • Rated: (not rated) (Perhaps equivalent to a PG or PG-13 for violence?)

Tentacle Ratings

A rough measure of how "Lovecraftian" the work is:

  • SS___ (Two Tentacles: Barely Lovecraftian; could be a very loose adaptation)

The writers noted that horror writer H.P. Lovecraft was an inspiration when creating the story, with a Lovecraftian theme of protagonists struggling against a mysterious force stronger than themselves, stating that the gradual development of the spiral curse was patterned on Lovecraft's storytelling and that '[Lovecraft's] expressionism with regard to atmosphere greatly inspires my creative impulse.'

Note: This rating is not intended as a measure of quality, merely of how closely related to Lovecraftian "Weird" fiction the work is.
