	''White Wolf'' was started in 1986 by the founders of White Wolf Publishing following the success of a trial magazine called ''Arcanum''. Starting life as a fanzine-style general gaming magazine, it became more of a house magazine in later years (From Issue 39 onwards.). Towards the end of it's publication the magazine was renamed ''Inphobia'' and focused more on gaming culture than actual gaming, which was a strong contrast to earlier issues which included articles and scenarios. * As noted above the 30 issue trial magazine was called ''Arcanum'', the name was changed for publication due to a possible rights issue with Palladium Games.
