Most of the pulpier Voodoo movies tend to fall into one of two major themes:
* A villain raises an army of zombie supermen in preparation for conquering the world.
* A skeptical curiosity-seeker crosses paths with a voodoo cult or priest, usually by watching a secret ceremony he wasn't supposed to see, and is then subjected to a voodoo curse.
