For the first two acts, the plot follows the short story, in which a farmer in a rural area of Vermont finds odd footprints that are alien in origin, and together with investigators of the unnatural gets drawn into a deadly alien conspiracy. In the third act, the protagonist uncovers an attempt by cultists to open a gateway between [[Yuggoth]] and Earth.
