The ruins of Xamanik were once a sacred place for the bat cult of the Priests of Tulúm. They worshiped ''Camazotz'', the mayan bat-god and kept tamed Winged Devils, giant vampire bats within the caves under a dry cenote. With the fall of its cult centuries ago, ''Camazotz'' awaits the moment it will be released upon the world, and the arrival of our investigators on the ruin site a few days before the summer solstice is the opportunity it was looking for.
