Ratings
MPAA Ratings
<!--E.G., "Rated: R (Violence, Nudity, Language....)" -->
* Rated: (not rated) (maybe equivalent to an R for brief Nudity, and mild Adult Content, Profanity, and Violence?)

Tentacle Ratings
A rough measure of how "Lovecraftian" the work is:
* s____ (One Half Tentacle: has only the barest connection to Lovecraft's work)

This film apparently began its life as part of a convoluted Producers-style get-rich-quick scheme; the short version is that, when the scheme didn't work out, these producers were forced to create their film anyway, these producers were forced to create a film with the same title as Lovecraft's short story, but none of the content, and only a single "Lovecraftian" name dropped in the film for Lovecraft fans to make the remotest connection to. The resulting generic Egyptian-themed fantasy action pot-boiler is of interest on a "Lovecraftian film" list only as a curiosity, as this film has nothing really to do with Lovecraft or his work except for some obscure record-keeping entries.

Note: This rating is not intended as a measure of quality, merely of how closely related to Lovecraftian "Weird" fiction the work is.

Reviews
<!--A list of reviews for the work, along with the review's rating (for example, "4/5 Stars") * Author_andor_Location, ([URL link]) - RATING -->
* Adventures in Nerdliness, (link) - "It is silly and exciting, slightly scary.... All in all, it is not a bad way to spend ninety minutes...."
Synopsis
<!-- Optional; Objective, unbiased, detailed synopsis of film's plot and themes -->
Notes
Comments, Trivia, Dedication
<!-- Optional; describe anything known or reported by experts about the origin of the story or inspiration for elements of it; list dedication, trivia, images, anything else of note -->
* According to The Complete H.P. Lovecraft Filmography by Charles P. Mitchell, this film was originally contracted as "inspired by H.P. Lovecraft's "The Tomb (fiction)" as part of a money-making scheme to obtain a major studio buyout involving an F. Paul Wilson novel by the same name. When this failed to work, a low-budget film about an ancient Egyptian amulet and vampire princess, loosely based on the novel The Jewel of Seven Stars by Bram Stoker, was made instead, with a character named "Howard Phillips" being the only vestige of the film's origin as a Lovecraft adaptation.

Associated Mythos Elements
* character: "Howard Phillips"
* race: Vampire/Mummy

Keeper Notes
<!-- Optional. Notes to Keepers on using this for film for scenario ideas. Heresies and Controversies: this is also a good place to include non-canon and controversial aspects of the film's mythos. Suggested Alternative Theories include: Derleth's elemental scheme; pseudo-science interpretation; "fanon" interpretations; unofficial humorous or eccentric versions; identification with "Real Life" mythological, religious, folklore, natural, and historical phenomena; rumor and speculation contribute some flexibility and ambiguity to the mythos. * Alternative_theory.
