This film apparently began its life as part of a convoluted ''Producers''-style get-rich-quick scheme; the short version is that, when the scheme didn't work out, these producers were forced to create their film anyway, these producers were forced to create a film with the same title as Lovecraft's short story, but none of the content, and only a single "Lovecraftian" name dropped in the film for Lovecraft fans to make the remotest connection to. The resulting generic Egyptian-themed fantasy action pot-boiler is of interest on a "Lovecraftian film" list only as a curiosity, as this film has nothing really to do with Lovecraft or his work except for some obscure record-keeping entries.<br />
