==Summary==


The Three Mothers (Le Tre madri in Italian) is a trilogy of supernatural horror films by Italian film director Dario Argento. It consists of Suspiria, Inferno and The Mother of Tears. Each film deals with one of the titular "Mothers", a triumvirate of ancient and evil witches whose powerful magic allows them to manipulate world events on a global scale. The films in the series include:

The first two films (arguably the better part of the trilogy) contain some great dream-like imagery, in a sort of fairy-tale take on Gothic horror, with mysterious cults, sinister witches, hideous secrets, and bizarre and elaborate architecture....

==Synopsis==

SUSPIRIA: Suzy travels to Germany to attend ballet school. When she arrives, late on a stormy night, no one lets her in, and she sees Pat, another student, fleeing from the school. When Pat reaches her apartment, she is murdered. The next day, Suzy is admitted to her new school, but has a difficult time settling in. She hears noises, and often feels ill. As more people die, Suzy uncovers the terrifying secret history of the place.
INFERNO: A young man returns from Rome to his sister's satanic New York apartment house.
MOTHER OF TEARS: Grisly deaths await Italian citizens after an archaeology student accidentally releases a demonic witch from her ancient prison.
