This corny monster movie isn't particularly "Lovecraftian" in tone or atmosphere (it could really have benefited from the sort of moody, restrained treatment seen in the British ''Quatermass'' film series), but the monsters (which creep up from the depths of the Earth with some sort of alien technology) wouldn't be far out of place in a Lovecraftian story.
