In 2005 a group know as "The Shoggoth.net Group" attended [[The Origins International Game Expo|Origins]] and collectively ran 35++ events, includind a tournament, and oversaw the [[Cthulhuthon]].

This year the Origins International Game Expo 2005 is playing host to
the first ever Shoggoth.net Call of Cthulhu Extravaganza. Starting on
Wednesday and continuing through to Sunday, gamers will have the
chance to experience the ultimate in Call of Cthulhu gaming. There
will be a multi-round Call of Cthulhu Tournament, with prize support
provided by Chaosium, as well as numerous other sessions of Cthulhu
goodness. These will be for varying levels of skill and experience, so
if you've never played Call of Cthulhu before, now is your chance! Be
sure to register for events early because they will sell out fast!

The Shoggoth.net group is a conglomeration of Call of Cthulhu players
dedicated to providing the ultimate in horror gaming. Our members hail
from around the United States and are all active administrators on
popular Call of Cthulhu websites such as www.shoggoth.net and
www.yog-sothoth.com. Additional recruits have been taken from
Chaosium's Missionary program.

This year the group will run the first annual Shoggoth.net Origins
Tournament, where seasoned Call of Cthulhu role-players will take part
in a multi-round gaming experience where the best role players advance
to the next round in search of the elusive and sanity blasting
"Shoggy." While the tournament is the centerpiece of the Shoggoth.net
experience, there will be numerous other Call of Cthulhu horror events
being run. Some of the events are tried and true classics while others
have never before seen the light of day and may bring the most
hardened CoC veterans to their knees. There's even a sneak preview of
a soon to be published scenario planned.

The Shoggoth.net crew along with several other organizations are part
of this years Cthulhthon. That's right! All Cthulhu all the time.

Yog-Sothoth.com is a web site devoted to Chaosium's Lovecraftian
roleplaying game: Call of Cthulhu. Yog-Sothoth features Cthulhu news,
downloads and active forums frequented by fans and writers alike.
Online for more than six years and with over a thousand members,
Yog-Sothoth.com is an established and still growing resource for
Horror roleplaying in the worlds of H.P. Lovecraft. See more at

Chaosium has been publishing high-quality books and games since 1975.
They publish the acclaimed Call of Cthulhu roleplaying line based upon
H.P. Lovecraft's Cthulhu Mythos and a line of Call of Cthulhu Fiction.

The Shoggoth Network established itself to serve as an independent and
