Beyond just the tentacles, the monster is suitably indifferent to humanity beyond human value as "Human Resources", there's the [[H.R. Giger]] character/set designs and special effects (from his ''[[Necronomicon#H.R._Giger.27s_Necronomicon|Necronomicon]]'' art series/books), the way the alien was assembled in a lab with instructions from another world or another dimension which could be described as a sort of "piecing together of dissociated knowledge" opening up "terrifying vistas of reality" or in terms of an unearthly monster conjured up after delving too deeply into a sort of electronic or genetic forbidden tome, and most/all films in the series had a sort of ready-made [[Delta Green]] plot to it with a cell of agents from various organizations trying to track the monster down before it's too late....

==Synopsis==

SPECIES - When a government scientist intercepts a space transmission containing the genetic sequence for an alien life form, he uses it to produce "Sil" -- a gorgeous alien-human hybrid. As the scientist grows concerned at her rapid rate of growth, Sil wrecks the laboratory and begins a violent quest for a suitable male human to impregnate her. The U.S. government dispatches top assassin Preston Lennox and a team of experts to stop her.
SPECIES II - An astronaut just returned from a mission to Mars. He's slowly becoming a terrifying alien entity with one goal -- to procreate with human women! When countless women suffer gruesome deaths after bearing half-alien offspring, a scientist and a hired assassin use "Eve", a more tempered alien clone of Sil, to find the astronaut and his brood. Before long Eve escapes to join the astronaut....
SPECIES III - After she delivers her child in an ambulance, alien Eve is killed by a half-breed. Fortunately, a doctor scoops up the baby alien and escapes. In time, the baby grows into a gorgeous blonde and begins her quest to find a worthy mate. But she is also savage and leaves a trail of deaths in her wake. This carnage makes a chemistry student question whether to help her race or not.
SPECIES: AWAKENING - With help from her uncle, a woman who is a half-human, half-alien clone searches for the scientist who created her.
