Ahiga, a Navajo witch, and Miguel Otero, a local Spanish Don have the common goal of returning the land to Mexican rule. And they have plan. ==Summary==
This Call of Cthulhu adventure is suitable for a single gaming sessions with any experience level players. It's intended for an event or convention but can easily be integrated into a continuing campaign. This adventure is weighted more toward combat than investigation but does require the players do some basic investigation. As I described it to a friend: "It's got family values, political suck-ups, cocktail parties, possessed dolls, disadvantaged orphans, fire vampires, a sword fight with an evil Spaniard, a cliff jump on horseback, evil Indian Shamans, and it starts with a sanity check! YEE HAW!" This adventure was inspired by several television shows: "Wild Wild West" (the series, not the movie), "High Plains Drifter", "Purgatory", and "Brisco County Jr.". If you haven't seen them I highly recommend them.

The Investigators begin the scenario as guests of the Military Governer of New Mexico, attending a genteel party. The quiet gathering is ruined when the wife of a visiting Senator seems to inexplicably go into a murderous rage, stabbing her husband to death before falling down catatonic. The adventure catapults the Investigators into taking on the lead roles in trying to unearth the truth behind this unexpected murder. After following several leads they learn that it was the Kachina doll, given to the Senator's wife shortly before, that triggered her bizarre and brutal behaviour.

And they learn that there are two more dolls ... each already sent to the families of other important New Mexico figures.

The presentation of this scenario is very sparse, incorporating a lot of whitespace and spreading out a few stat blocks over entire pages. Despite an overall page count of 20, is is probably more more comparable to a 9 page scenario.

The introductory section of the scenario states that it is written assuming that the Investigators have completed one of two scenarios: Night of the Comanchero" or "Night of the Thunderbird". Unfortunately, neither of these adventures is included in the book (nor apparently available online). Because of this, the Keeper may need to engineer an alternative method of getting Investigators involved -- one such method is suggested in the scenario itself.
