''London - Im Nebel der Themse'' ist die erste deutschsprachige Publikation für ''Cthulhu'', die sowohl die klassische Epoche der 1920er als auch die "Gaslicht"-Epoche der 1890er abdeckt. Im ausführlichen Quellenteil der Originalausgabe wird London, seinerzeit größte Stadt der Welt und Schmelztigel der Kulturen, ausführlich vorgestellt, seine spannende Geschichte, seine Stadtteile, die Friedhöfe und Parks, die verlorenen Flüsse, seine Geister, die okkulten Gesellschaften und dunklen Kulte. Ein weiteres umfagreiches Kapitel widmet sich der Frage, wie man in London lebt, was ein typischer Londoner der verschiedenen Schichten tut, wie er sich unterhält, in welchen Klub er geht und mit welchen Verkehrsmitteln er sich in seiner Stadt fortbewegt.

Enthalten sind außerdem zwei Abenteuer, die sowohl die 1890er als auch die 1920er abdecken und jeder Spielergruppe erlauiben, direkt das cthuloide Grauen auch in der Stadt an der Themse zu erleben, so püssen die Spieler u.a. gegen ''Jack the Ripper'' kämpfen und die Londoner vor einem nicht sehr niedliche Kind beschützen.
