Would never be mistaken for being overwhelmingly "Lovecraftian", but its eerie 1970s TV-friendly Gothic horror tale of witchcraft in Salem involving the Whateley and Marsh families pushes this film slightly closer to the territory than average for this sort of thing.

When a young artistic family moves into a witch-house in Salem Village, things quickly take a turn for the worse when they meet the sinister Thomas Whateley, his mute and simple son Seth Whateley, witch Elsbeth March/Marsh, and cult leader "The Master" and his coven of followers; they are introduced to the story of a family curse involving a warlock who kills all but one family member of each generation to keep himself alive through the centuries, and members of the family begin acting strangely: the artist father begins acting as if he is possessed; the young daughter is having eerie nightmares about chanting cults, talks to an invisible "friend" named Abehu, and might be the next Bride of Satan; and the perky housewife may be the only one who can get to the bottom of the mystery.
