Not very Lovecraftian at all in tone and execution; ''Demons'' and ''Demons II'' can clearly trace their ancestry to the ''[[Evil Dead (1981 franchise)]]'', but perhaps bear more in common with 1985's horror/slapstick-comedy ''Return of the Living Dead'' film series than most anything else. Still, a couple minor elements could translate to Lovecraftian horror (a tome of Nostradamus' prophecies appears in the first film, for example), and the basic ideas behind the films have some potential for adaptation to a "1980s horror"-themed Call of Cthulhu scenario.

* Though it was originally conceived as another entry in the popular Demons (1985 franchise), director Michele Soavi insisted that "Demons 3" (1989) stand alone and not be connected with the films Demons (1985) or Demons 2 (1986): in an interview, Soavi referred to the Demons films as 'pizza schlock' and wanted ''[[La_Chiesa_(1989_film)]]'' to be more sophisticated; the resulting film thus has a similar plot to the first two films in the series, but is more serious and artistically ambitious in tone, with more diverse and bizarre demons.
