<p><b>New page</b></p><div>A category for pages relating to a fan-made Call of Cthulhu setting involving a dying Mars dotted with ancient ruins and peopled with surviving pockets of nearly-extinct alien races struggling over the last few drops of water, gasps of air, and living plants left on the alien desert world; the setting is largely inspired by authors like [[H.G. Wells]], [[Edgar Rice Burroughs]], and [[Ray Bradbury]], who in turn were inspired by the imagination of astronomer [[Percival Lowell]], who imagined such a world based on fellow astronomer [[Giovanni Schiaparelli]]'s erroneous observation of what appeared to be straight lines carved through the Martian deserts (an effect that was later revealed to be an optical illusion).
