Part of a cult called "The Branch and the Serpent", which has been blending the supernatural and science for hundreds of years, the friend was part of a team which designed a process that allows the cult to summon and ''contain'' Hounds of Tindalos within specially modified computers. Convinced that he's not been given the recognition he deserves, he has come up with an elaborate plan to use some convenient stooges (The Investigators.) to discredit his bosses.}}
