A manifestation of the dark god, [[Nyarlathotep]]. This incarnation first appeared in the short story of the same name, published in 1936, just prior to [[H.P. Lovecraft]]'s death.

In the story, the manifestation appears as a "three-lobed burning eyed", huge bat-winged creature, which can only travel in the dark. It is often likened to bearing a similarity to [[Hunting Horror|Hunting Horrors]], though significantly more powerful.
